Harkins Camelview Theatre Movie Premiere
"Rebuilding Hope"

"Rebuilding Hope" is a riveting and moving documentary which follows Garang Mayoul, Koor Garang and Gabriel Bol Deng, who as small children fled their villages in South Sudan during a tumultuous and decades long, civil war. They became part of a group of thousands of our boys with a similar story, commonly known as the "Lost Boys" upon resettlement in the United States in 2001. Now, in their twenties with the education and skills they have gained in Kakuma refugee camp and in the U.S., they embark on a journey back home to find surviving family-members and learn how they can help rebuild their communities. The film also sheds light on what the future holds for South Sudan in its struggle for peace, development, and stability.
